Program Coordinator, Rutgers North Camden Schools Partnership

The Program Coordinator I for Education Outreach reports to the Associate Chancellor for Civic Engagement. The Program Coordinator facilitates collaborations between the Office of Civic Engagement and Camden city schools, with a focus on the elementary and middle schools in the North Camden neighborhood. The Program Coordinator enables Rutgers personnel and school personnel to collaborate productively by making mutually agreeable arrangements for programs that support school-time learning, create after-school opportunities for K-12 students, and serve parents and other adults connected with the schools. The Program Coordinator provides staff support to the Community Advisory Board for Rutgers’ North Camden schools partnership. The Program Coordinator acts as Program Director for the 21st Century Community Learning Center program and is responsible for the administration of the Rutgers after-school programs in the North Camden schools, including hiring, training, and supervising student workers and other program staff and partners. The Program Coordinator maintains positive working relationships with school personnel and with Rutgers faculty, staff, and students engaging in collaborative work with the schools. The Program Coordinator facilitates summer programs for school-age children on the Rutgers-Camden campus.
