Job Description
Position: Program Coordinator (PC) – College Access Center of Delaware County
Reports to: Director, College Access Center of Delaware County
General Description of Duties: This individual is the KEY “direct service provider and manager of CACDC community and student educational outreach initiatives. The PC creates, supports, implements, and manages all of the College Access Center’s annual programs aimed at increasing college awareness, readiness, preparedness, and access. Some of the initiatives include managing the Center’s (1) SAT/ACT Prep Class, (2) Tutoring & Homework Help Services, (3) College Prep Counseling Staff & Process, along creating, developing, and supporting Student Educational and Informational Workshops.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
• Create, manage, and monitor indicators that market and evaluate CACDC programs, record student activities, as well as analyze the demographics of student participation and satisfaction.
• Recruit, train, and coordinate college student and professional volunteers for the Center to best support CACDC programming and service delivery.
• Oversee the development of volunteer college student recruitment training manuals, reference guides, and best practices for planning, staffing, and launching annual student college access programs and services.
• Organizing and participating in monthly meetings as well as representing the Center in meetings or activities involving program marketing, evaluation, or information sharing of CACDC initiatives.
• Participating in professional workshops, retreats, and educational/ community projects that enhance the Center’s capacity to successfully meet its goals and objectives regarding college access
• Manage informational sharing opportunities for program updates and findings of our program findings along with supplemental research to the Center’s community partners.
• Provide support for all CACDC programs, activities, and general functions
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Access to Car, Valid Driver’s License, and updated insurance
• Experience in working with diverse populations particularly urban communities’
• Strong connections to college admissions, financial aid, mentoring, university retention, student affairs, and multicultural student success
• Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends for after-school programming
• Very Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Power Point, Excel, Google Docs
• Demonstrated skill in organizing and managing projects in high schools, college centers and community
• Comfortable in compiling and reporting statistical data on student achievement, metrics, and other forms of measurement for student success
• Must be able to manage website, interconnect online social media and marketing new technologies such as Constant Contact, Twitter, Facebook, Linked In, Micro Soft Socl
Additional Skill/Experience Considerations: Internet/Social media marketing experience, data collection, systems creation and management, website design and updating experience, strong professional online writing skills, ability to work autonomously, college student leadership, organizing, and recruiting background, significant level of work or volunteer experience in community service or with high school aged youth, strong background and interest in college access, secondary education, college recruitment, preparation, retention, along with experience in developing training manuals and resource guides for student success.
Compensation and Benefits:
• Full-time position
• Salary Range: $32,000

• Traditional 9-5 but tremendous Flexibility in Work Hours
