Ones Up fights economic injustice through a passion-based career development program rooted in healing, wellness, and social justice. We believe in challenging all traditional systems to forge new pathways toward success for black and brown people. We with youth ages 14-24, we seek to build communities where young people can thrive.
The Program Coordinator facilitates and assists with the development of daily programming. Through your work, you will play an integral role in helping young people understand and integrate important concepts related to their personal and professional success. Our goal is to center social-emotional learning, healing, and wellness in the academic and professional development of the youth engaging in our program. At Ones Up, we believe in principle-based and thematic learning that allows youth to internalize concepts that can be applied in multiple areas of life. Your job will be to help Ones Up build out its pedagogy and educate youth through movement, repetition, and praxis.
Reporting to the Co-Executive Director responsible for Strategy and Execution, the Program Coordinator, serves as an educator, facilitator, role model, and creative thinker introducing youth to important topics in a digestible and inclusive way. Working closely with the Head of Strategy and our Engagement Specialist, this person will develop curricula, lesson plans, and workshop activities that will reflect our pedagogy and be built upon for years to come. The Program Coordinator will also assist with the implementation of youth-led projects using the Ones Up Framework for Community Building, and work with our network of Build Up Partners to identify opportunities for service and engagement.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with priority given to those received by January 15, 2024. Position starts as early as February 5, 2024, with room for flexibility, and is based in Philadelphia, PA.
