Program Coordinator, Intergenerational Center

The Intergenerational Center at Temple University in the College of Education is a grant-funded Center charged with delivering services to children, youth and families in the community. Temple E3 Center is a collaboration between the Intergenerational Center and the Lenfest North Philadelphia Workforce (LNPWI) Initiative. E3 serves youth ages 17- 24-year-old by providing them with Education, Employment and Empowerment skills to lead to gainful employment with family-sustaining wages in the healthcare, IT and construction industries.
Temple University’s College of Education seeks a full-time Program Coordinator to provide ongoing program support and management for the newly launched E3 Center to support workforce and employment activities for Opportunity Youth. The incumbent will work collaboratively with our project partners to ensure that project outcomes are achieved. This is a grant-funded project and involves direct partnership with LNPWI. The goal of the project is to provide Opportunity Youth with academic, industry training and certification that leads to viable long-term employment and/or postsecondary education.
The Program Coordinator will ensure all program outcomes are met, regularly reach out to clients and document interactions, allocate resources, plan and carryout program strategies, supervise staff, timely completion of reports, track and manage program data, market program and compile program data reports, organize and attend partner meetings, leverage university and community resources to address the needs of the youth enrolled in the program, and accountable for all program goals. S/he will build and maintain relationships with clients, funders and partners, communicate project goals across all stakeholder groups, and develop a process for gathering and reporting program data and outcomes. The Program Coordinator will plan and implement workshops, recruitment activities, job fairs, career panels and employer forums to build support for the program and develop opportunities and follow through for internships and job placement.
The Program Coordinator will provide ongoing supervision and guidance, and monitor and evaluate the E3 Career Coach performance as well as provide guidance and oversight to Education Specialist (LNPWI) . S/he will collaborate with the LNPWI E3 staff to ensure coordination and alignment of key project activities. S/he will track supportive services, ensure that files are prepared and ready for required audits, adhere to timely and complete timely reports as requested. Performs other duties as assigned.
