Program Coordinator, Fresh to You and My Family Kitchen

Fresh to You is a produce access program that provides fresh produce and home delivery free of charge to 100 families. My Family Kitchen is a school based hands-on cooking program that operates in 16 elementary schools.

Job Summary: The Program Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day program operations. This includes managing volunteer and participant data, communicating with participants, liaising with partners and stakeholders, managing social media accounts, and working with management on program development.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee volunteer database, streamline onboarding processes, and monitor volunteer hours
  • Communicate with participants about program activities and deadlines
  • Act as a liaison with schools in Camden and Philadelphia area to coordinate program events and initiatives
  • Engage with stakeholders and partners to address programmatic requirements and maintain collaborations
  • Work with management to develop and implement program plans
  • Prepare comprehensive program reports, offering valuable insights and progress updates to stakeholders and grant funders
  • Curate and manage dynamic social media platforms
  • Provide support in the preparation and submission of grant applications

Position Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in program management or related field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team
  • Ability to communicate professionally and stay organized
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of and experience working with diverse and low-income communities (Philadelphia preferred)
  • Flexibility with some weeknight and weekend work

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, such as Public Health, Public Administration, Social Work, or related fields
  • Experience with volunteer management and data systems to enter, manage and track program data
  • Experience with data analysis software
  • Experience and excellent skills in customer service
  • Experience working with community partners and stakeholders to coordinate projects and programs
  • Experience in and passion for promoting health and nutrition

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time, Hourly Position
  • Hybrid, with minimal required in-office hours
  • Average work week is 15 to 20 hours
  • Pay is $22/hr
