We are seeking a highly self-motivated individual who can also function effectively in a team environment to serve as a Program Coordinator for the Foster Grandparent Program. You will have an opportunity to use communication and facilitation skills to assist in training older adults and interacting with community members.

You will recruit older adults to serve as tutors and mentors to children in school settings. We are looking for people who can balance logistical duties with relationship building and community activities such as meeting with school personnel,health fairs and recruitment activities . If you have managed to find a balance between being empathetic with people of all backgrounds and pairing that empathy with effective decisions that achieve positive outcomes, you will fit well on our team.

Program Coordinator, Eagleville, PA

The Foster Grandparent Program, Program Coordinator, is a full-time position responsible for recruiting, training and managing a volunteer program for low-income senior who serve as tutors and mentors to children in school settings. This program provides an opportunity for the volunteer to remain active and earn a tax-free stipend while assisting children increase academic success and school readiness. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required. This position is primarily daytime hours. A valid driver’s license/insured vehicle, strong computer proficiency and confidence in public speaking are required. Criminal background check, child abuse and FBI fingerprints will be conducted on selected candidate.
