Title: Program Coordinator
Reports To: Director, College Access Center of Delaware County
Work Year: 12 Months/Full Time
Hours: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Flexible hours required for evening and Saturday programming).
Location: 400 E. 21st Street
Widener University Campus
Chester, PA 19013
The College Access Center of Delaware County (CACDC) is an initiative of the Chester Higher Education Council. The purpose of the CACDC is to improve the educational outcomes for underserved students of Delaware County by increasing access to postsecondary education.
Summary
This position calls for a well-organized and detailed individual with experience providing personalized college prep and career guidance for students and parents. The primary responsibility of the Program Coordinator is to ensure that the center is providing quality programs and activities that support the goals of increasing access to post secondary education.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Develop and implement comprehensive curricula for accessing college
• Coordinate educational resources, programs, activities and services in support of accessing secondary educational opportunities
• Provide oversight of college student volunteer component: supervise student volunteer coordinator responsible for recruitment, training and scheduling
• Data gathering and management
• Represent Center at outside events
• Provide support to co-hort groups
• Supervise student program assistants
• Assist with outreach and marketing activities
Salary Range: $30,000 + Benefits
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree Required.
* Experience working in college access, academic enrichment, or youth development programs.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Preferred
* Experience or education in:
o Not-for-Profit Organizations
o Public Speaking
o Event Planning
o Marketing
