Robert Wood Johnson Foundation – Program Associate Position – Disparities Team

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, a nationally recognized philanthropic organization specializing in the health care needs of all Americans, is currently seeking a Program Associate to work with our Disparities Team. The Foundation, with $9 billion in current assets, has existed as a national foundation since 1972 and is dedicated to improving the health and health care of all Americans through grant making, communications efforts and direct charitable activities promoting health and health care concerns.

Responsibilities will include working with members of up to two teams to facilitate and support the work of the teams by conducting project- and team-related research; working with key experts, grantees and applicants to develop strategies and action plans to fulfill the team’s objective; and assisting in designing and implementing new initiatives, evaluating proposals, and monitoring programs and grants.

The successful applicant will have education and experience equivalent to a Master’s degree, plus two years professional related experience, a basic level of grants-related experience and the ability to field multiple quick-turnaround assignments and to work in a highly collaborative environment. The position requires excellent analytic skills as well as facility with word processing, data base management and presentation/graphics software, strong written and oral communications skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, be creative, adaptive and flexible. May be required to travel, as needed.

Located in Princeton, NJ, we offer a competitive salary starting salary in the high $50Ks, plus an excellent benefits package including up to 4 weeks of vacation, an on-site fitness center, and complimentary breakfast and lunch.
