Program Assistant, The Institue for the Study of Civic Values
The ISCV is looking for a person to work part-time for the Urban Renewal Arts Program at Farrell Elementary in the Northeast section of Philadelphia. The Urban Renewal Arts Program (called Youth RAP) teaches 5th thru 8th graders about the importance of social action through art projects. The position includes relationship building with student’s parents in order to complete the extensive amount of documentation for funding requirements. Also, the program assistant must aid the lead teacher in lessons of civics and artistic expression. Hours are 3 to 6 pm every weekday. Salary is $10/hr for 15 hours per week. Summer hours are full time, 40hours a week. Upon completion of the paper work and the school year, there is an opportunity for pay raise and bonuses.
