Program Assistant, Maternity Care Coalition

Maternity Care Coalition (MCC), a dynamic nonprofit, works to improve maternal and child health and wellbeing through the collaborative efforts of individuals, families, providers and communities.
The Program Assistant will provide administrative/clerical support to the Early Head Start program. The individual will be responsible for the reception area functions and phone coverage. Responsibilities include typing correspondence, copying, faxing, filing, mail handling, data entry; maintaining/ordering supplies; the daily operation of office equipment; coordinating emergency or limited services/supplies; assist in planning and conducting special events.
The position requires computer literacy, including word processing; experience in data entry and Microsoft Office; familiarity with office systems and machines; ability to keep office records (alpha and numerical filing); good interpersonal skills; the ability to follow through on projects/assignments and meet deadlines. High school diploma required; 1-3 years administrative experience preferred.
