OSTRC sponsors two staff development sessions
The Out of School Time Resource Center will hold a showcase of out of school time (OST) professional development opportunities on Wednesday, December 4th from 10am to noon at OSTRC, 3815 Walnut Street in University City.
The workshop will highlight exemplary organizations that support and enhance OST professional development in the Philadelphia area. All presenters will provide current information that will benefit and inform the audience and the youth with whom they work. Participants will also discuss and explore professional development relevant resources, activities, and strategies to support their goals.

On Wednesday, December 11th, OSTRC will present Professional Standards and Advancement for Youth Workers at the same location from 10am to noon.
As out-of-school time gains traction as a field, more attention is being paid to youth work professionals. The OSTRC will share current resources used to frame youth work, such as local, regional, and national OST Staff Competencies, and discuss career pathways, goals, and opportunities.
