Professional Development Seminars
Date and Time: Thursday, March 21, 2019; 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Location: Eastern University, 3300 Henry Avenue, 3 Falls Center, Philadelphia, PA
Intellectual knowledge and practical skills are key to effectiveness in the workplace, but emotional and social intelligence are what make one a resonant leader. A resonant leader is attuned to the feelings of others and can move them in a positive emotional direction. This workshop will introduce you to the concepts of emotional and social intelligence and how they can help you become a resonant leader. It will be an interactive session, utilizing games, group discussions and role plays, and will make you more aware of ways you can strengthen your awareness of your own feelings and the feelings of others, and how to interact in a constructive manner.
Prior the seminar participants are urged to take the Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire (EQ 16). The cost is $19.95. While not required for attendance at the seminar, the EQ16 will provide you with a comprehensive assessment of your current level of EQ in four areas: Reading People, Using Emotions, Understanding Emotions and Managing Emotions. You will also receive some practical tips on how to increase your emotional and social intelligence in those four areas.
Cost: $50 (includes lunch)
