Professional Development Course: Middle School Economics

Personal Finance for the Middle School Classroom is a professional development course for middle school educators teaching economics.

This one-day professional development program for teachers will be offered in three locations in August 2006. The program introduces primary teachers to economic concepts and demonstrates how to teach them using children’s literature. Taught by Federal Reserve economic education specialists, the program emphasizes active-learning techniques that help educators meet state and national standards in economics and personal finance while teaching language arts.
