President Sorrell of Paul Quinn College
Posted by University of Pennsylvania on March 5, 2018
The Wharton Undergraduate Division, Black Wharton Undergraduate Student Association, and Joseph Wharton Scholars Society proudly present the Howard Crawley Memorial Lecture with Dr. Michael Sorrell, President of Paul Quinn College.
Dr. Michael Sorrell is the President of the oldest HBCU west of the Mississippi and brought the institution back from the brink of bankruptcy into a thriving institution. His fearless leadership asks the students to dream big and aspire to greatness. In the process the school has become known as an innovative institution by planting a sustainable farm on the former football field, by becoming the first federally-recognized urban Work College, and other innovations.
Quinnites now live by the 4Ls: 1) leave places better than you found them, 2) lead from wherever you are, 3) live a life that matters, and 4) love something greater than yourself. We look forward to welcoming President Sorrell to Penn’s campus with you.
