Pre-K-12 Program Specialist (5th Grade) F/T Hybrid, Barnes Foundation

Primary Function: The Pre-K-12 Program Specialist develops engaging programs for PreK-12 students, delivered in Barnes’s galleries and in the classrooms of participating schools. The Specialist is part of the School Programs team, which provides in-person and online programming for PreK-12 students and teachers.
During the school year, this position facilitates tours in the Barnes galleries for students in PreK-12th grades. The specialist also creates and teaches programs delivered to 5th grade classes at grant-funded school partners in Philadelphia. These lessons integrate art with other content areas, such as science and math. The specialist develops and delivers professional development workshops for teachers and contributes to School Programs projects.
During the summer, the specialist contributes to community-based, out-of-school learning for students and families led by the Barnes’s Community Engagement and Family Programs team. The specialist also envisions, scripts, and films asynchronous, virtual learning videos for PreK-12 students on the Barnes’s Visual Experience Platform.
