Portraits of Healthcare Event – Aug 5
Posted by PA Health Access Network on July 21, 2026
Join PHAN (Pennsylvania Health Access Network) for an evening of art, storytelling, conversation, and community as we explore the real-life impact of healthcare costs in America.
At the event, artist Theresa BrownGold, founder of Art as Social Inquiry, will share selections from her powerful portrait series, a collection of nearly 100 paintings inspired by the lives of people whose experiences with illness, medical debt, health insurance, and access to care changed their lives forever.
The evening will also feature interactive activities, free food, prizes, and a chance to add your own story to the national One Nation, Overcharged campaign. The event is free, and all are welcome!
Date and Time: August 5, 4:00-7:00 PM
Location: Friends Center Courtyard, 1501 Cherry Street (enter at 15th and Race), Philadelphia, PA 19102
