Policy Interns, Mayor’s Office of Community Empowerment and Opportunity

The Mayor’s Office of Community Empowerment and Opportunity (CEO) is excited to share the fellowship and internship positions that are available this Fall.
CEO is seeking organized, hard working, and self-motivated undergraduate and graduate-level students to serve as our Policy Interns. We are looking for interns to work part time (12-15 hours/week) in our office during the 2015 Fall Semester.
The role of the Policy Interns is to help support the work of CEO – including performing research and writing memos for the development of new policies and the implementation of programs for the City, particularly in the areas of job training, benefits enrollment, early childhood development, housing, and financial empowerment. Former interns have coordinated efforts to improve educational outcomes using digital technology, researched the state of summer youth programs in Philadelphia, and identified best practices for combating issues of hunger.
