Now in its 10th year, PNC Arts Alive is a multi-million dollar funding initiative of The PNC Foundation designed to support visual and performing arts organizations and make the arts accessible to all audiences. Since its debut, PNC Arts Alive has provided $10 million in grant funding to support more than 260 art exhibitions, performances, interactive installations, festivals, and pop-up art experiences benefiting hundreds of thousands of individuals.
New this year is PNC Arts Alive CONNECT , a 2-year funding initiative designed to support smaller, community-based arts and cultural organizations – those with an organizational operating budget of $50,000 to $149,999 – whose arts programming directly benefits the neighborhoods in which they operate.
Both PNC Arts Alive and PNC Arts Alive CONNECT grants cover a wide range of disciplines, audiences and participatory experiences, and celebrate the full range of our Greater Philadelphia’s artistic traditions and individual and shared experiences.
For the first time, organizations based in Kent and New Castle Counties (Delaware) are invited to apply for either the original PNC Arts Alive grant program or the new PNC Arts Alive CONNECT funding initiative. In addition to direct financial support, all PNC Arts Alive and PNC Arts Alive CONNECT grantees will be eligible to receive capacity-building program support from several PNC Arts Alive Service Partner organizations.
The PNC Arts Alive Grant Program will run for a one-year term: September 1, 2019 – August 31, 2020, while PNC Arts Alive CONNECT will run for a two-year term: September 1, 2019 – August 31, 2021.
Proposal guidelines and application materials for the both PNC Arts Alive and PNC Arts Alive CONNECT for the grant term beginning September 1, 2019 are now posted online.
All applications must be submitted for consideration no later than Friday, March 15, 2019.
