Planet Dog Foundation Accepting Applications for Grant Programs
Deadline: February 16, 2007
The Planet Dog Foundation (<a href="http://www.planetdogfoundation.org/">http://www.planetdogfoundation.org/</a>), the nonprofit arm of Planet Dog, an eco-friendly dog product company based in Portland, Maine, is accepting proposals for its grant program. The foundation is the retooled charitable giving arm of Planet Dog, whose mission is to promote and celebrate programs in which dogs serve and support their best friends. Planet Dog celebrates all "working" dogs that are enhancing and saving human lives — therapy dogs, service dogs, search & rescue dogs, bomb sniffing dogs, police dogs, et cetera.
The foundation’s goal is to support the people and organizations who enable dogs to give back to people in need. The foundation seeks to raise awareness of dogs’ significant contributions to our society and encourage others to "act" on behalf of these dogs.
PDF will award grants in amounts of up to $5,000 each to applicants from anywhere in the United States who work toward this new mission.
