Schools Needed for Pilot Program: Helping College Students Register to Vote

Posted by Partners for Campus-Community Engagement (PCCE) on September 10, 2024

ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge, the Students Learn Students Vote Coalition, and the College Board are working together on a new program to help college students register to vote by integrating pop-up voter registration prompts into the systems that students already access regularly, like the student information system, learning management system, or single sign on. Students who see these prompts and click through to register will be linked to a web page such as Vote.org where they can complete their registration.

As part of the effort, the group is looking to work with a pilot set of schools with whom they can build and test prompts in different student-facing systems. These early adopter campuses will receive free advising on how to integrate the prompts as well as access to a free, school-branded voter registration portal that includes usage data, provided by ALL IN. The lessons learned and code developed in these projects will be incorporated into a publicly available toolkit that is shared more broadly with the field.

If you’d be interested in learning more and exploring being part of the pilot group, please reach out to Dave Harker (dave@pcce.org).
