PhillyGoes2College “I AM PHL” Contest and Kick-Off Event – Feb 10
Posted by PhillyGoes2College on January 30, 2024
Philadelphia high school students are encouraged to show off their one-of-a-kind talents to win one-of-a-kind prizes through the 2024 I AM PHL contest presented by PhillyGoes2College, powered by the Philadelphia Education Fund (PEF), and in partnership with the Wawa Welcome America Festival and Vanguard. This contest aims to highlight and celebrate the aspirations of Philly high school students.
Students are encouraged to enter by submitting original work in the categories of investment, music, visual art, or spoken word performance. Judges at the forefront of Philadelphia’s creative and financial fields will review students’ work and one winner in each submission category will receive a $1,000 cash prize, the chance to be seen at the 2024 Wawa Welcome America Festival, and much more!
Join us on Saturday, February 10th from 11:30am-3pm at the University of the Arts Student Center for an afternoon of celebration and collaboration! At the event, students will:
- Catch live music and spoken word performances;
- Jumpstart contest submissions with teaching artists and career pros in investment, music, spoken word, or visual art;
- Hear from a panel on how to harness the power of entrepreneurship and community to take your artistic or financial passions to the next level;
Attendees will enjoy lunch from Wawa. Plus, the first 25 students to register will get a free t-shirt!
