“Philly Takes the Mic”
The Alliance of Young Artists and Writers is teaming up with NAACP ACT-SO, Philadelphia Writing Project, and the Penn Museum to host a reading and open mic event celebrating the voices of Philadelphia youth with the local community.
The 2015 Summer Series reading in Philadelphia is made possible by support from the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, NAACP ACT-SO, Philadelphia Writing Project, and the Penn Museum. PHILADELPHIA READING & OPEN MIC EVENT DETAILS:
· July 11, 2015, 2:00-5:00 pm (time includes open mic and self-guided tour), Penn Museum, 3260 South Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104. Use the Kress Entrance, on South Street, closest to Convention Avenue.
“Philly Takes the Mic” – Registration
Reading and open mic for students in Grades 7-12 takes place Saturday, July 11 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm, at the Penn Museum, 3260 South Street. Enter through the Kress entrance (on South Street, closest to Convention Avenue).
