Philadelphia Youth Network: Call for Reviewers, Deadline Sept. 20
Posted by Philadelphia Youth Network on September 17, 2019
On Monday, August 12, the Philadelphia Youth Network (PYN) released an RFP for Summer Employment Programs. Due to an overwhelming response, we anticipate receiving more than 400 proposals, which will require roughly 200 reviewers. An independent review committee is an essential component to a fair and successful procurement process. Please consider participating in the 2020 Procurement Process as a reviewer. Further details regarding the RFP and reviewer timeline are listed below.
Who can be a reviewer?
Anyone interested in having an impact on the outcomes of youth and young adults, who has time to give, can be a reviewer. You do not have to have experience in the youth workforce development field. Experience with youth programming is helpful but not required. You do not have to be a Philadelphia resident.
If you or your organization is submitting a proposal for this RFP, you would likely have a conflict of interest, and may therefore disregard this request.
If you are interested but unsure whether or not you are an appropriate candidate, we encourage you to complete the short registration form to indicate your interest. There will be a virtual information session and training to complete the process, and all reviewers will receive a rubric.
What is the commitment?
We understand your time is limited and we have created a process that is efficient and are prepared to support your efforts in any way possible. We are asking each reviewer for roughly 10 hours of volunteer time over a 3-week period, timeline below. If you cannot commit that much time but would still like to participate, we encourage you to register anyway, but also email [email protected] with your limitations.
REVIEW TIMELINE
- Week of 9/23/19 – Evaluation materials including training materials and confidentiality statement will be distributed electronically
- Week of 10/7/19 – Proposal materials will be distributed
- Week of 10/25/19 – Proposal materials and your scores are due to PYN
If you are interested in being a reviewer, please complete this short registration form by 9/20/19.
