Posted by Philadelphia Regional Farm Bill Working Group on February 26, 2018
The Philadelphia Regional Farm Bill Working Group is hosting Philadelphia & The Farm Bill Town Hall on Tuesday, March 6th, 5:15-7pm at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. “The evening will feature diverse voices from our local farming sector, nationally recognized nonprofit and for-profit stakeholders, renowned leaders in academia, youth leaders, and elected officials.
The Farm Bill is the primary agricultural and food policy tool of the United States federal government and touches the daily lives of all Americans. It impacts the environment, public health, access to healthy food, local economies and much more. With the next Farm Bill underway, please join us for a discussion on why this legislation matters so much to the Philadelphia region and how Congress can and should craft a transformative and equitable Farm Bill that works for us all.
Philadelphia and the Farm Bill Town Hall is a free ticketed event brought to you by a host of organizations as a part of the 2018 Philadelphia Flower Show. The evening will feature diverse voices from our local farming sector, nationally recognized nonprofit and for-profit stakeholders, renowned leaders in academia, youth leaders, and elected officials. We hope to see you there to add your voice and learn about ways to continue involvement after the event.
