Philadelphia Social Innovations Journal: Out-of-School Time
Posted by Philadelphia Social Innovations Journal on May 19, 2014
Journal to feature city’s OST innovations
The Philadelphia Social Innovations Journal has joined forces with the Philadelphia Mayor’s Office, the Department of Human Services, the Parks and Recreation Department, the Free Library of Philadelphia, the School District of Philadelphia, Public Health Management Corporation’s DHS-funded Out of School Time (OST) project, The Philadelphia Foundation, and the Pennsylvania Statewide Afterschool/Youth Development Network (PSAYDN) to take a closer look at the innovations within Philadelphia’s OST network.
Philadelphia’s OST models have demonstrated significant social impact on children and youth, and in the process have contributed to the educational outcomes of the School District of Philadelphia. In addition, the Journal will explore the growing impact of OST best practices, brought to scale in Philadelphia and implemented across a city-wide network of providers.
The next edition of the Journal will be launched on Thursday, June 19th from 8am to noon at Public Health Management Corporation, Centre Square East, 1500 Market Street in Philadelphia. To register, go here.
