Philadelphia READS needs volunteers
Philadelphia READS, a nonprofit agency which promotes children’s literacy, needs volunteers to help make all Philadelphia school children bookworms.
The organization trains community members to work as reading coaches in Philadelphia schools and after school programs. Volunteers are required to serve a minimum of one hour per week for a three-month period.
Winter training sessions will be held on Wednesday, January 6th from 6-9pm at Calvary United Methodist Church, 801 South 48th Street and on Monday, January 18th from 9am-noon at Girard College Armory, 2101 S. Space is limited.
