Fund at The Philadelphia Foundation Allows Individual Donors To Pool Dollars For Greater Impact
The Public School Giving Circle was formed in 2016 to provide grants that help teachers, principals, parents, students and community members working in eligible schools to support student needs. It is structured to operate with flexibility and nimbleness to quickly provide resources. Under its cooperative funding model, individual donors pool their money for greater impact. To date, 30 donors have contributed over $10,000. Donors who give more than $250 are eligible to vote on grant decisions. Anyone can make a tax-deductible contribution to the PPSGC via The Philadelphia Foundation’s website. The deadline for the next review of grant applications is November 7. Visit PPSGC on Facebook for updates.
