Philadelphia Public Health Futures Writing & Art Challenge – Mar 27
Posted by Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health on March 3, 2026
What does a healthier Philadelphia look like to you?
Accelerate Health Equity (AHE) invites students across Philadelphia in Grades 3–12 to participate in the Philadelphia Public Health Futures: A Writing & Art Challenge. Students can submit analytical writing or original artwork that explores important public health issues in their communities—such as clean air, safe neighborhoods, access to healthy food, mental health, and more.
This challenge encourages young people to think critically, express their creativity, and imagine solutions that can help build healthier and more equitable communities in Philadelphia.
Participants will compete for cash prizes up to $200, recognition in an online gallery, and the opportunity to be featured in a public showcase.
Competition Dates: March 2 – March 27
Submission Deadline: March 27 (Submit Here)
Winners Announced: April 6–10 during National Public Health Week
The challenge is open to all Philadelphia residents in Grades 3–12. Students may submit digital artwork or writing through the official portal, and photos of physical artwork are also accepted.
Help shape the future of public health in Philadelphia. Your voice matters!
