Philadelphia Gay Youth Guide
Posted by on July 16, 2004
Created by The COLOURS Organization, Inc. and DHS this guide is one of many steps the city is taking to more directly address your particular service needs as members of the gay and lesbian community.
While our city offers an array of programs available to all children and youth in Philadelphia, this guide specially highlights those programs that are sensitive to the specific challenges experienced by lesbian and gay youth.
For Philadelphia to continue its evolution into a world-class city, we must ensure that all youth – no matter their sexual orientation, race, religion or ethnicity – have access to a multitude of resources and programs. This guide is a first step in raising awareness among the gay and lesbian youth community that accessible resources do exist and that you are welcomed and encouraged to utilize them.
