Preparing Makes Sense. Get Ready Now.
Join us for a Preparedness Workshop near you!
If you had to stay in your home for a few days, would you have what you need to stay safe and healthy? If you had to leave your home suddenly, without time to pack, would you be ready to go?
The City of Philadelphia’s Office of Emergency Management is hosting six Preparedness Workshops throughout September at 7 p.m. on the following dates to help you prepare for any kind of emergency:
• Wednesday, September 3
Columbus Recreation Center
12th and Wharton Streets.
• Thursday, September 4
Federation Housing Building, Rieder House
10102 Jamison Avenue
• Wednesday, September 10
24th Police District Courtroom
3901 North Whitaker Avenue
• Thursday, September 11
The Philadelphian
2401 Pennsylvania Avenue
• Monday, September 22
University City High School
36th and Filbert Streets
• Monday, September 29

Henry Avenue and School House Lane
Join us at one of these locations for presentations by the American Red Cross, the Office of Emergency Management, the Fire Department and Town Watch. You will learn about Philadelphia’s neighborhood evacuation plans, be able to sign up for emergency text alerts through ReadyNotifyPA and sign up for a free smoke detector.
There will door prizes, and light refreshments. We hope to see you at one of these Preparedness Workshops in September.
