Philadelphia Cultural Leadership Program Accepting Letters of Intent From New Applicants
Deadline: September 22, 2006 (Letters of Intent)
A program of the Pew Charitable Trusts (<a href="http://pewtrusts.org/">http://pewtrusts.org/</A>), the Philadelphia Cultural Leadership Program seeks to stimulate leadership and best practices within the cultural community by providing multi-year operating support to organizations that meet high standards of programmatic, fiscal, and management performance. All PCLP grants are for three years, and the use of the funds is unrestricted.
Since the program’s inception, fifty-five organizations have been awarded PCLP grants, with the average award totaling 5 percent of the grantee’s prior-year expenses. All grant awards are based on the budget size evident from the most recent audit. Applicants should base their requested amount on that audit.
All PCLP grants are for operating support and may not be used for endowment, capital projects, or debt reduction.
New applicants are strongly encouraged to speak with Culture program staff in advance of submitting an application to the Philadelphia Cultural Leadership Program. See the Pew Charitable Trusts Web site for complete program information as well as guidelines for renewing organizations (those currently receiving PCLP funding).
