Philabundance seeks volunteers for nationwide study on hunger

Philabundance needs energetic volunteers to facilitate a nationwide study of hunger. Volunteers will engage with individuals receiving food assistance, contribute to invaluable research on national hunger and help to effect positive change in in their communities.

Volunteers will be responsible for:

– Attending a mandatory training session
– Traveling to agency sites to facilitate Client Surveys
– Interacting with clients during the agency visit

Volunteers should:

– Be able to visit 5 sites between April and August 2013.
– Possess computer and internet skills
– Be able to communicate effectively with diverse populations
– Exercise discretion and show sensitivity with clients
– Be enthusiastic, Flexible, and patient. Have fun!
– Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
