The Center for Community Partnerships (CCP) is celebrating its 10th anniversary with an International Conference on ?Universities, Communities and Schools: Partners for Effective Education, Community Building and Democracy? on April 7-8. As a member of PHENND, I would like to personally invite you to attend the conference.

The conference will bring together American and international colleagues from higher education, K-12 education, community- and faith-based organizations along with leaders from government and philanthropy. Over the two-days, participants will engage in a dialogue on the critical issues in creating, implementing and sustaining mutually beneficial partnerships — partnerships that help realize in practice the democratic promise of American higher education and American society?indeed the democratic promise of higher education and societies throughout the world.

Speakers from across the world, including: university presidents, foundation presidents, national and international scholars, community leaders, and K-12 educators, will speak on thematic panels and focused breakout sessions discussing significant themes such as: Health & Nutrition; Arts & Culture; Poverty & Race; community Building; Democratic Education; Schools & Schooling; Math, Science & Technology; and much more.

As a valued colleague, we would like to extend to you a special Community Network Conference Registration Fee of $60.00. To register, please visit the Center?s web site at http://www.upenn.edu/ccp and please indicate the discounted rate on your registration form.
