PHENND Conference 2013 FAQ
Posted by on February 22, 2013
Dear PHENNDies,
Below is your PHENND Conference 2013 FAQ:
Q: Where do I park?
A: The Bryn Mawr School of Social Work: Directions to Graduate School of Social Work
Q: Why can’t I park on the main campus?
A: There is not enough room on the main campus to park. Two vans will be available to shuttle you from the parking lot to Thomas Great Hall starting at 8:00AM.
Q: Great, but what if I need to leave early?
A1: You shouldn’t leave early, all of our presenters are amazing.
A2: There will be vans to Thomas Great Hall from 8:00AM-9:00AM and one van leaving Thomas Great Hall at 1:45, 3:00 and of course at the end of the conference 5:00-5:30.
Q: What will make it easiest for me (and the Bryn Mawr and PHENND staff) to enjoy the conference?
A: Arrive as close to 8:00AM as possible. Do not arrive late and park on campus. Please call: Eden: 215-266-0031 or Kate: 610-724-9985 if you arrive post 9:00AM, but please try to be on time.
Q: Can I take public transportation to Bryn Mawr College?
A: Yes! The campus is a five-minute walk from the Bryn Mawr train station on the Paoli/Thorndale line. Hint: you want to be on the north, residential side of the station; you will be on the correct side as you get off the train if you are coming from Philadelphia. Take the stairs by the station under the track if you’re on the other side. From the Bryn Mawr station, walk north on Morris Avenue (straight ahead as you get off the westbound train) for two blocks. You will cross Montgomery Avenue. After crossing, turn left on Yarrow Street and walk through the arch connected to Rockefeller Hall. Go through the Arch and Thomas Great Hall will be diagonally in front of you. Alternatively, you can go through Pembroke Arch and Thomas is the main building on your left.

Q: Where are the Presentations Rooms located?
A: Workshops will be either in Dalton Hall or Thomas Hall. Registration, breakfast, the panel and lunch will all be located in Thomas Great Hall. Please refer to the campus map.
Q: I am vegan, gluten free, allergic to nuts, etc., who should I inform?
A: We should have all dietary restrictions covered but please feel free to email Liz Shriver eshriver@phennd.org with any concerns.
Q: My questions were not answered by reading this FAQ. What should I do?
A: Email Liz: eshriver@phennd.org. I’ll be happy to answer any questions you have.
Q: Will I get to see Hillary’s baby?
A: Hopefully a special small guest will be in attendance.
