PHENND Announces new K-16 Partnerships Network
Posted by on March 06, 2011
PHENND is pleased to announce the development of a K-16 Partnerships Network for the Philadelphia region. Operating under the overall PHENND network, the K-16 Partnerships network will bring together higher ed faculty and staff who manage partnerships with public schools. The focus will be two-fold: learn from each other about best practices and models for K-16 partnerships in general and as appropriate, work with the School District of Philadelphia to help improve and expand K-16 partnerships in Philadelphia.
PHENND has promoted Liz Shriver, formerly our part-time GEAR UP Coordinator, to be a full-time K-16 Partnerships Coordinator to manage this effort. Liz will be holding meetings of interested parties and publishing a monthly K-16 Partnerships Newsletter. Part of this effort also entails building a knowledge base of existing partnerships. To learn more and sign up to receive the monthly newsletter, click here. You will be asked for your basic contact information and if you manage a K-16 Partnership, you can also submit information about that activity.

The next meeting of the group will be April 15 at Arcadia University and will explore the role of nonprofit organizations in K-16 partnerships. To RSVP, contact Liz at [email protected] or 215-573-2379.
