Pew Updates State of the City Report
The Philadelphia Research Initiative of the Pew Charitable Trusts recently released a 2010 update to its comprehensive statistical study called “Philadelphia 2009: The State of the City.” This update examines several key indicators, including population, poverty rates, job growth and decline, major crime numbers, and median home sales and frames the updated data in the context of other relevant details about the quality of life of Philadelphians. The Philadelphia Research Initiative plans to issue a complete sequel to the original 2009 report next year.
