Position Overview
The Pew Fund officer position offers a unique opportunity to help guide the use of Pew’s local resources in support of high-quality and effective services for vulnerable adults who face significant challenges to becoming independent and productive members of society. These include individuals who are homeless, those with longstanding mental and physical disabilities and those with limited educational skills. The Pew Fund’s approach is rigorous with a focus on evidence-based strategies that will lead to measurable improvements in the lives of these individuals.
The ideal candidate will have significant and substantive work experience in the health and human services arena, with demonstrated knowledge of the needs of the targeted populations as well as the funding and public policy challenges facing nonprofit service providers. Ideally, the candidate will have expertise in performance measurements of nonprofit health and social service delivery. The candidate also will have the ability to communicate with and negotiate effective strategies across a broad range of individuals and organizations in the nonprofit, public and private sectors.
The program officer reports to the director, Pew Fund, who is also a deputy director in the Philadelphia Program.
