Posted by on October 10, 2010
People’s Emergency Center (PEC), after several months of renovations on their main facility located at 3902 Spring Garden Street, Philadelphia, has announced a renaming ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, October 13, 2010. In honor of the dedicated, compassionate service of PEC’s former president of 27 years, Gloria Guard, the facility will be renamed “Gloria’s Place.” Gloria dedicated 27 years of service to homeless families and improving PEC’s West Philadelphia neighborhood. Since 1990 Gloria’s Place has been a safe home to thousands of homeless women and their children.
