Program trains progressive candidates for office
Applications are being accepted for the Pennsylvania Local Progressive Candidate Training Program, which is designed to help individuals develop the skills and resources they need to advance progressive change through local elected office.
This six-part comprehensive training program provides the nuts and bolts of putting together a successful campaign for a local elected position, as well as the fundamentals for implementing progressive policies through elected office. The training is designed for both candidates and campaign managers.
The program is sponsored by the Center for Progressive Leadership, Teach for America, Keystone Progress, League of Women Voters and the Committee of Seventy.
Trainings will be held over the course of three weekend workshops. Participants will also receive coaching and develop a personal leadership plan. The application deadline is September 1st. Individuals registering for this program may not have already filed to run for office. To apply go here.
