New PA website offers resources for seniors, disabled
The Pennsylvania Department of Aging (PDA) and Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) have collaborated to create a new website to aid in identifying local resources for older adults and people with disabilities.
The Pennsylvania Link to Community Care website is intended to help individuals make informed decisions for themselves and their loved ones. The site features a home care directory of organizations that provide in-home services and supports. Users can also search for specific services such as personal care; assistance with activities of daily living; companionship; respite; and habilitation, health care services to keep, learn or improve skills and functioning for daily living.
Search results can be filtered by county. Educational materials and a variety of additional community resources can also be accessed. Resources are available for consumers, family members, and social service and community providers.
To visit the site, go here.
