Pennsylvania Humanities Council Offers Grants for Arts Programming
The Pennsylvania Humanities Council is encouraging arts organizations, community groups, and schools to apply for Humanities-and-the-Arts Grants with awards up to $5,000. In partnership with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, the PHC supports public programs that increase understanding of the arts.
Project Grants (up to $5,000) are due April 1, 2005. Mini-Project Grants (up to $1,000) have a rolling deadline. The PHC’s grants explore the arts through discussion groups, workshops, or lectures accompanying performances. These are special opportunities for schools and other nonprofits to encourage meaningful public engagement on the arts in their communities. Download an application and view guidelines at http://www.pahumanities.org, or contact the PHC to request materials at 800-462-0442 or phc@pahumanities.org.
The Pennsylvania Humanities Council inspires individuals to enjoy and share a life of learning. Since 1973, the PHC has empowered local groups to offer high-quality public programs that have a positive impact on the everyday life of their communities.
