Pennsylvania Educator Diversity Consortium 7th Annual Summit – Jun 23-25
Posted by Pennsylvania Educator Diversity Consortium on June 2, 2026
I’m reaching out on behalf of the Pennsylvania Educator Diversity Consortium (PEDC) to invite you to join us for the 7th Annual PEDC Summit, taking place virtually June 23–25, 2026.
PEDC is a driving force for educator diversity and culturally relevant and sustaining education. We work across the full teacher pipeline — from attracting people to the profession and strengthening preparation programs, to supporting districts in recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and retaining educators of color.
This year’s theme, Unfinished & Unafraid: Advancing Culturally Relevant and Sustaining Education, Justice, and Educator Diversity in a New Era, sets the stage for three days of powerful plenary sessions, 30+ concurrent workshops, and collective action. This year’s keynote speakers include:
- Nikole Hannah-Jones – Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, MacArthur Genius Fellow, and creator of The 1619 Project
- Dr. Bill Ayers – Distinguished Professor of Education Emeritus at the UIC and author of To Teach: The Journey of a Teacher
- Dr. Stacey Patton – Award-winning journalist, Howard University professor, and author of Spare the Kids
This event offers an opportunity to listen, learn, and engage. The Summit welcomes all educators, families, students, administrators, and advocates working to strengthen equity and belonging in our schools and help every student succeed. Act 48 credits are available for PA Educators.
