Pennsylvania Digital Badging Summit

The Pennsylvania Statewide Afterschool/Youth Development Network (PSAYDN) is sponsoring a Pennsylvania Digital Badging Summit on Monday, November 17, 2014. The event will be held at the PSECU Corporate Center, 1500 Elmerton Avenue, Harrisburg, PA 17110. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the summit will begin at 10:00 a.m. and conclude at 4:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided. There is no conference fee for this event.

Carla Casilli from the Badge Alliance and Victoria Wegener from Mainspring Consulting will be facilitating this exciting and informative event. The summit will include plenary informational and sharing sessions including an overview of badging nationally and in Pennsylvania, a youth pathways and professional development session, and small group sessions for badging novices and advanced attendees.

Participants are responsible for their own travel and lodging arrangements. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Staybridge Suites, 920 Wildwood Park Drive, Harrisburg, PA 17110. Be sure to mention the “PSAYDN Badging Summit” to receive the discounted rate of $89 single/$99 double plus tax and fees.

The Center for Schools and Communities, as a division of the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit, is offering a maximum of four (4) Act 48 professional development credits for those with Pennsylvania teaching or administrative certificates. Participants must attend the event from beginning to end, and provide their Professional ID numbers, to receive credit.
