Posted by Penn Libraries on September 9, 2025
The Penn Libraries Book Prize in Sustainability reception and award ceremony, will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center.
This annual prize recognizes a recently published book that deepens public understanding of environmental sustainability. This year, we are proud to honor Edward Humes for his eye-opening work, Total Garbage: How We Can Fix Our Waste and Heal Our World – a compelling exploration of how the things we throw away shape our environment, economy, and health.
