Penn Engineering High School Summer Internship Program – Apply by Mar 31
Posted by Penn Engineering on March 3, 2026
The Penn Engineering High School Internship Program is a seven-week immersive research experience in which high school students, primarily rising seniors, engage in hands-on research projects under the mentorship of Ph.D. students, postdoctoral scholars, and faculty principal investigators. Interns are embedded in university laboratory environments, gaining meaningful exposure to academic research as they prepare to apply to institutions of higher education and explore STEM fields that spark their curiosity and aspirations. Interns will be compensated for their time with a stipend.
Throughout the summer, interns also participate in a robust slate of youth-centered enrichment activities, including campus tours, college- and career-readiness workshops, STEM seminars, a field trip to Washington, D.C., and community-building social gatherings.
Application Closes: March 31, 2026
Program Dates: June 22, 2026 – August 4, 2026
