Peer Networking Meeting for Out-of-School Time (OST) Staff

Beginning in September, 2006, Philadelphia?s Peer Networking Meetings are being held every month at the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania. November?s meeting featured a panel discussion on ?Locating Curricula/Activities? and attracted 34 participants. Tam?ka Jones, a panelist, is highlighted in a recent article: Raising the Bar on After School.
The next Peer Networking Meeting will be held on Friday, December 15, from 10:30am-12:30pm, and focus on ?Behavior Management.? December?s panelists will include: Brandon Brown of BRB Consulting, Gus Keirans of Philadelphia Safe & Sound, and Michael LeeYow of TOUCHH Center.
Peer Networking Meetings provide informal meeting and sharing opportunities for administrative as well as frontline staff. Moreover, attendance now automatically counts toward United Way IMPACT Initiative and PAPathways/DPW training credit hours.
