Posted by Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine on March 29, 2022
Investigate, discover, and experiment at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) Opportunities Academy. Build your resume and college applications with clinical simulations and labs, networking opportunities, and learn alongside PCOM faculty and medical students.
The PCOM Opportunities Academy aims to offer traditionally underrepresented students the opportunity to accelerate their STEM+M skills, learn about the college and medical school admissions process, and explore careers in medicine.
The program will be held Monday, June 20-Friday, June 24.
At this time, the program will be in person but we reserve the right to change to a virtual program per guidance from the PCOM Rapid Response Team.
Students attending the PCOM Opportunities Academy must be fully vaccinated with the booster. Students will need to submit their vaccine cards ahead of the program.
The schedule will be as follows:
Monday, June 20: 10:00 – 1:00 pm (Virtual day)
Tuesday, June 21-Friday, June 24: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm in person at PCOM
The Opportunities Academy is open to Philadelphia high school students at no cost. Applications are due Friday, April 29 at 11:59pm EST.
