PBS: Need to Know Spotlights Working Poor Finances
On July 25, CFSI’s Rachel Schneider, Vice President for Innovation, Research, and Policy, was featured on PBS: Need to Know. The show presented an in-depth look at America’s working poor and their financial struggles.
The program followed a New Jersey family and showed how they utilize a financial diary. As lead investigator on the U.S. Financial Diaries project, Schneider joined the broadcast to reflect on the day to day financial issues facing average citizens.
The U.S. Financial Diaries project continues as a partnership between CFSI, The Financial Access Initiative at New York University, and Bankable Frontier Associates. This project is made possible thanks to generous contributions from The Ford Foundation, Citi Foundation, and the support and guidance from the Omidyar Network.
