Patient Services Representative at CHOP – Feb 11

The West Philadelphia Skills Initiative (WPSI) is recruiting across Philadelphia for training and job opportunities as a Patient Services Representative at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
Patient Services Representatives can be stationed in Emergency Department, Admissions, or Outpatient settings and are responsible for greeting patients and families, collecting & entering demographic and insurance information, collecting payments associated with services rendered, and other duties as needed. We’re seeking patient-focused, computer-savvy individuals with customer service experience. Commitment to the full training schedule (below) is a must:
- Facilitated group conversations Monday – Friday 2/28 – 3/18, 9am – 12pm
- Additional one on one and small group virtual meetings several times a week between 1pm – 3pm
- Approximately 2 hours of daily reading and reflection exercises
This program is online, so consistent access to a laptop or desktop computer, broadband internet, a webcam, and a word processing program like Microsoft Word, Google Documents, or similar are essential to training completion.

The West Philadelphia Skills Initiative (WPSI) designs and runs programs which connect you to the tools and supports needed to build to build a career that is meaningful to you.
All applicants must:
- Be a resident of Philadelphia
- Commit to the full training schedule
- Hold a high school diploma or GED
- Have complete schedule flexibility
- Be unemployed
- Be tobacco-free
- Provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination by March 11th, 2022
In this program we offer:

- A $150 weekly stipend while enrolled in the program.
- The opportunity to interview for open, full-time Patient Services Representative positions at CHOP starting at $18.95 /hr.
