Party in the Warehouse for Share Food Program – Oct 22
Posted by Share Food Program on October 15, 2019
This Spring, the Share Food Program was asked to take over the logistics for the National School Lunch Program in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties. Seven freezers, two trucks, and a whole lot of elbow grease later– Share is now providing lunch commodities to more than 300,000 kids at 794 schools in 70 school districts within our region. And while other regions battle with “lunch shaming” and unnecessary cuts, Share is now leading the way to ensuring every child in Greater Philadelphia has access to healthy food. It’s been a big undertaking for Share, and now we’re ready to celebrate in a big way!
Join us on Tuesday, October 22nd for our Party in the Warehouse at Share as we celebrate our recent accomplishments and look forward to the tasks ahead! Visit http://sharefoodprogram.org/event for more details.
